Kèr Ksvāyùg covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 3320 m (10892 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Kèr Ksvāyùg was founded durring the late 12th century in spring of the year 1059, by Shêmeg̈nm Owens Nash. The establishment of Kèr Ksvāyùg was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Shêmeg̈nm Owens Nash struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Kèr Ksvāyùg as a prison colony.
Kèr Ksvāyùg was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Ksvāyùg is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Kèr Ksvāyùg is buildings are arranged within a network of restrictive baked earthen streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. Kèr Ksvāyùg's failry decent fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.
A quick look in any direction shows Kèr Ksvāyùg is filled with vices. Cultural Notes
Kèr Ksvāyùg's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
In Kèr Ksvāyùg every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.
